Ahh it's just like old times 8) *takes a seat*

Hellen: Yes, something like that  I'm trying to grasp the language, but so far I can only really use google to translate.. that sentence about the hovercrafts and eels is the only one I know which is actually properly translated

Good luck with that hovercraft situation, Requiem.

Welcome back Krypto! Hopefully you didn't have eels in your hovercraft too.

Wow, this is truly a Posty reunion of note. Good to have you back, Krypto, if only for a short while at least. It's strange that we all meet up in the bin of Posty.

I've noticed a phenomenon. If I go to bed early, I tend to be in a much better mood and more productive (at work), but it reduces my time spent living considerably. If I go to bed late, I have a more agreeable amount of time to live, but at a much poorer quality. So which is it? Do I shorten my lifespan for quality of life, or do I lengthen it and feel worse for it?

On the contrary the bin appears to represent a nexus point for the denizens of Posty, something akin to a senate considering it's extensive life span and popularity in contrast to other threads. The freedom of choice in discussing anything that comes to mind makes it an ideal location for returning to the beating heart wouldn't you say? :)

Damn humid weather patterns! I take much more comfort in cold extremities, the only irritable factor is just that the cold, which can easily be compensated for with additional clothing and kicking up the heating. The ravishing heat? Burdens the body with dehydration, discomfort, extensive perspiration and distorted sleeping patterns. I'll take the 3 weeks of sub-zero temperatures at Winter anytime.

Interesting paradox concerning the sleeping dilema, personally I'm rather resilient, both emotionally and physically. I'd take the poorer quality option as I can rarely sleep earlier than 10PM and I'd prefer to savour every minute of opportunity available rather than sacrifice an hour or two to ensure the body reaches optimum performance.

I always try to sleep atleast 7 to 8 hours, but you always have something "important" to do that delays you. Weekends and vacations, I always rather sleep that 11 to 12 hours just because I love sleeping. Im such slowly living personality that I don't mind if I "lose" few hours of my life.

Seems that exact post could've been written by me, Umnir.

Batman shares your feelings, but he currently feels too worn down by the summer heat to respond himself.

I heard that Batman hates rock music as well...

Yeah right, Umnir ! Perkele ! :D

I received my new graphic card, I sent the other because I thought it was broken and it appears I was right. I can now play Painkiller, Fear and Quake 4 (as far as I know... :? ).

ATI drivers are horrible really.

The newest version is the 10.7.

Formerly I had the 10.4.

All games I tried runned well.

I knew that 10.5 and 10.6 versions fuck up Quake Live colors so I didn't even install it (it works perfectly with 10.4 !!!, later release, bug...).

I tried the 10.7 then because I heard the Quake Live problems were solved.

INDEED, the colors were okay.

But then : Quake 2 -> impossible to play in OpenGl mode -> with 10.4 100% fine.

Quake 4 -> Ultra sloppy mouse, crosshair doesn't even move if I move my mouse too slowly -> with 10.4 100% fine.

So I went back to 10.4 pffff.

I can't understand what they are doing with drivers updates, isn't it supposed to solve problems instead of adding other ?

Anyway I lost lots of times trying to get my new PC to run fine. I also had a pain finding a way to increase the sample rate of my USB port for my mouse so that I put it to 500Hz frequency instead of 125Hz (default setting, with more input lag).

I'm going back to mapedit as soon as I have installed OUWB + DosBox and when Quake 2 + addons and Quake 4 singleplayers are finished.

I'm currently going through the end of my Quake 2 adventures. I'll post some thought about it when it's done.

Um, so that was the explanation as to my absence these days.

I hope you all do well. Don't forget I'm a dick when it comes to mapedit so I might have shitloads of question to ask in a near future.
